Blue Lobster Grille in Rockport

Traditional, New England-style seafood place located right at the top of the main drag of Rockport, MA, Bearskin Neck. Fast, friendly, professional service. I was disappointed with the pizza, but the kitchen was probably rushed that day, it is a new addition to the menu, and it is a seafood place after all. I wish more vegetarian items were available, such as fries not prepared in the same oil as the fish.

Amazing food and even better service. You have to get the moqueca (Brazilian seafood stew)...simply the best thing on a chilly New England day. Definitely a gem in the small town of Rockport.

We chose this place for dinner because of the boisterous crowd of locals sitting in the front window, and boy were we happy with that choice. We had amazing lobster bisque, then I had the mariscada special and my wife had a whole lobster. Everything was incredibly delicious, plus we had great conversation with Charissa and her mom, who tend to the front of the house, and the other customers (one of whom was 100 years old!) By the time we left we felt like we were family, and we can't wait to come back!

Busy day on July 4th but the staff handled the Covid crowd well. My only complaint is that when I asked our server, Andrea, for the bill, she came back and said “$120.94”. That seemed a bit high, so I asked Andrea, “Can I see the bill please?” Waited another 5 minutes and she brought it and the bill was actually $101.78. When I asked why she wanted $120.94, she said “The computer automatically adds a 20% tip”. Well fine, but could she have told me that? We were only 3 people, not a table of 6. If that IS the policy of adding 20% tip at the Blue Water Grill, it needs to be STAED to the customer, especially if no bill is produced. Not fair that many customers don’t know this and are double tipping on the bill. Naughty naughty

Fantastic lunch! We has the mussels, fried haddock sandwich, and lobster BLT. Would order it all again! So delicious! Outdoor seating for social distancing. Conscientious staff. Highlight of our Rockport visit. Highly recommended this restaurant.

We stop in every time we visit Rockport. Their burgers are huge and moderately priced. This time they had steamed lobster on special for 16.95, it came with fries and coleslaw and was so sweet and tender!

We went on June 16 2019 with an organize trip from Quebec, Canada. We whrn to this restaurant and WOW everything was excellent! The service and all the food was very great!! Thank you I recommanded 👍

Great little spot! Food was ready quick and tasted excellent! First time here (during the quarantine) and will DEFINITELY come back once things are open again!
